Low Tox Foundation Review: Kylie Professional Mineral Goddess Luxury Cream Foundation

Table of Contents

We all know how hard it is to find a good foundation that is low tox and actually performs, so I thought I would start a series reviewing and sharing the low tox make-up I love.

First up is one of my absolute favourites, Kylie Professional's Mineral Goddess Luxury Cream Foundation.

Low Tox Ingredients

What really sets this foundation apart is what it doesn't contain. A lot of popular mainstream formulas are loaded with silicones, synthetic preservatives like phenoxyethanol and BHT, PEG compounds, and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, a chemical sunscreen filter that is a well-documented endocrine disruptor. Kylie Professional's ingredient list reads completely differently. It's built around nourishing oils and waxes: jojoba, squalane, rosehip, shea butter and meadowfoam seed oil, with calendula extract and vitamin E for skin benefits, and natural waxes for texture. No silicones, no synthetic preservatives, no PEGs, no chemical sunscreen filters, no artificial fragrance.

How It Performs

Even with the cleaner ingredients, Mineral Goddess performs well in terms of coverage, comparable to mainstream brands I once loved like MAC and Smashbox, but so much better for you. You can see in the before and after picture that it does a great job of removing redness and evening out my skin tone. It is also easy to apply with their No.1 brush and has a lovely creamy consistency. It sits well on my dry, sensitive skin leaving a dewy finish and would also work well on mature skin as it doesn't settle into fine lines (I am heading to forty). It lasts most of the day and I find it does not slide around on my skin, although like most foundations a touch-up might be needed if you're heading out after work.

Shade Range

It has a good shade range covering very fair to darker complexions. Kylie Professional also do samples so you can find the right shade before committing to a full size, which I think is a great touch and something more brands should offer.

If you are looking for a low tox foundation with decent coverage, I would give this one a go. Kylie Professional also do samples so you can find the right shade before committing to a full size.

Price and Where to Buy

As at Feb 2026 Mineral Goddess is selling for $78 AU which is comparable to other premium brands and in my opinion is worth every cent. You are paying for a formula that is genuinely better for your health, not just marketing. You can purchase directly from the Kylie Professional website and I'd recommend grabbing a sample first to get your shade match right before buying the full size.

The Verdict

If you are looking for a low tox foundation with decent coverage that doesn't compromise on performance, I would give this one a go. It is the foundation I reach for when I am looking to achieve fuller coverage.

*The formula contains lavender essential oil, which is generally considered safe but anyone with sensitivities may want to patch test first
