Payment information
Donations are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — all payment data is handled by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Information collected automatically
We use a custom analytics script that records approximate geographic location (country and region), pages visited, referral source, and user interaction events. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and is not linked to your identity.
We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure overall site traffic and audience trends, which supports our eligibility for advertising partners. It collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, and device and browser type. We have configured it for privacy: your IP address is anonymised, Google Signals (cross-device and demographic tracking) is disabled, and your data is not used for ad personalisation. 3. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Cookies

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate this site:
- Stripe — donation payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Amazon SES — email delivery for newsletters and transactional emails
- Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate site traffic measurement, configured with IP anonymisation and advertising features disabled (policies.google.com/privacy)
Each of these services processes data only as necessary to deliver their function and is bound by their own privacy commitments.
5. Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies necessary for site operation (such as session management), and first-party analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we have disabled Google’s advertising and cross-device tracking features. Our custom analytics does not use persistent tracking cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscriber data is held until you unsubscribe
- Contact form enquiries are retained for a reasonable period to manage correspondence
- Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and is not personally identifiable
- Payment records are retained as required by law
7. Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@lowtoxinrabbit.com. We will respond within 20 working days.
8. International Users
This site is based in New Zealand. If you access it from outside New Zealand, your information is processed in accordance with New Zealand law. New Zealand has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection, meaning EU residents' data is treated with equivalent safeguards.
